In March of 2019 Joanna Briley produced the first Black Women in Comedy Festival in Brooklyn, NY. It was there, at The Brooklyn House of Comedy, where the 5 headliners of the Let Her Smoke comedy tour connected and decided to share the celebration of black women in comedy with the world. Join them on a journey of rich life stories and world views on everything, whether it's social issues or penis envy. It's an emotional rollercoaster of joy that will make you cry laughing.
LET HER SMOKE is about freedom for women to be whatever they need to be whenever they need to be it. Let her laugh, let her cry, let her be weak, let her be naked, let her be strong, let her eat, let her run the world, let her be a mom, let her sleep, let her be funny, let her be. #LetHerSmoke
Sometimes you can't see your own greatness. You can't see how the world sees "your smoke" Each one of us are AMAZING, BLAZING, POPPING out here!! We take our own smoke for granted because REAL LIFE is a bitch too but your wins are real and should be remembered. You. Are. Winning! We’re buzzing. Believe that.
