Has been nominated for an Emmy Award for his work on the short film The Flourish and he is a recipient of the San Diego Critics Circle’s Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Actor Of The Year. He’s an international headliner that has worked with the likes of Sinbad, Jerry Seinfeld, Rodney Dangerfield, and Jeff Foxworthy as well as, having headlined clubs and colleges all over the USA and Canada. This past holiday season he appeared in Christmas movies for the OWN Network “One Fine Christmas” and on Amazon “2nd Chance For Christmas”. MCL is best known for his series regular role as Big Mike on the NBC TV series CHUCK. He recently completed production on a new Tyler Perry tv drama “All The Queens Men” and he has appearances on the hit ADULT SWIM TV show BLACK JESUS and is recurring on The PureFlix Show Malibu Dan The Family Man. He can be seen on the Disney Channel’s original TV movie Life Is Ruff and guest appearances on Lab Rats, Good Luck Charlie, Heroes, Weeds, My Name Is Earl, Reba, Grounded for Life, Crossing Jordan, and Amazing America with Sarah Palin. MCL is in pre-production on several projects as a writer and/or producer and has just released on his hilarious talk show Pure Comedy, which he also hosts. Simone is a Washington DC artist who has performed standup comedy on the main stages of Arlington Drafthouse and DC Improv for nationally touring headliners such as Amir K, Bob Marley, Cristela Alonzo, Fortune Feimster, Pete Davidson, Tommy Davidson, and Iliza Shlesinger.
He has also performed at Comic Strip Live and at Laughing Buddha’s Village Lantern in New York, NY as well as Los Angeles, California’s Comedy Store.
With his distinctive perspective on American life and politics combined with a laid-back, friendly delivery, Simone evokes an animated, clever, and funny act. His eye for the absurdities of cultural politics and his unique writing and performance style wows audiences.
