Perfect Liars Club

Perfect Liars Club

Launched in 2013, Perfect Liars Club quickly became one of the city’s hottest storytelling shows with its simple but unique premise: Four people tell four original stories. All are captivating, but only three are true. Listen. Laugh. Interrogate. Vote. Can you spot the liar? The stories are hilarious – but the interrogation is even better: you never know what questions will be asked or what evidence will be demanded of our storytelling suspects by the audience in its determined quest to spot the liar.

In addition to their monthly show at The Bier Baron Tavern & DC Comedy Loft, Perfect Liars Club has appeared at the Capital Fringe Festival, the Black Cat, Wooly Mammoth Theater, and the Shakespeare Theatre Company, and has begun producing one-off storytelling shows at performance spaces across the greater Washington, DC area.

Meet your Perfect Liars Club hosts:

Cara Foran is a corporate communications whiz by day and a storytelling whirlwind by night. Besides co-producing and hosting Perfect Liars Club, she won the first DC Moth GrandSlam, staged a one-woman show at Capital Fringe, performed in Story District’s Sucker for Love and Top Shelf shows, and regularly hosts DC’s monthly Moth StorySLAM. In her free time, Cara mothers the world's greatest kid, reads quality fiction, and takes extravagant naps.

Pierce McManus is a Washington, D.C.-based storyteller and communications professional. Pierce co-hosts and produces the very popular Perfect Liars Club, a monthly storytelling show with a twist. He has also had the pleasure of performing with The Moth, Story District, and Story Collider. His humorous stories draw upon his experiences as the son of a New York City police officer, a child of the suburbs of the 1970s, and someone who constantly finds himself in hard-to-believe situations.
