Tom will next appear in his own special for Comedy Dynamics entitled TOM ARNOLD: PAST & PRESENT IMPERFECTLY and will soon begin production on his own political series for Viceland where the first season already has an eight-episode order. He also just shot an episode of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS. Prior to this, he wrapped the independent feature BIGGER opposite Julianne Hough, as well as the independent feature SAVING FLORA. As a writer, producer, and actor, Tom Arnold has established himself with both television and film audiences worldwide, having won such awards as the Peabody Award and a Golden Globe Award. Additionally, he helped put Fox Sports Network on the map with his hosting duties on BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW PERIOD and CMT’s top-rated MY BIG REDNECK franchise including MY BIG REDNECK FAMILY, which premiered at the highest ratings in CMT history. Arnold cornered the market on playing the resident comic relief in films like NINE MONTHS with Hugh Grant, Julianne Moore and Robin Williams, TRUE LIES with Arnold Schwarzenegger, HERO with Dustin Hoffman and AUSTIN POWERS: INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY with Mike Myers. Arnold has successfully broken out of the comedic stereotype and is becoming a fixture at film festivals by landing more mature and dramatic roles. He received critical praise for his role in GARDENS OF THE NIGHT opposite John Malkovich, THE GREAT BUCK HOWARD starring John Malkovich and Tom Hanks, GOOD DICK opposite Jason Ritter, and THE YEAR OF GETTING TO KNOW US opposite Sharon Stone, Jimmy Fallon and Lucy Liu. In 2005, he received critical notice for his role in Don Roos’ HAPPY ENDINGS for Lionsgate Films. He was also seen in PRIDE opposite Terrence Howard and ANIMAL FACTORY directed by Steve Buscemi. Arnold began his career in comedy early when he moved to Los Angeles to write on the highly successful television series ROSEANNE, before eventually serving as executive producer for the sitcom. He went on to star in his own HBO special entitled TOM ARNOLD: THE NAKED TRUTH, and then wrote, produced and starred in his own television series THE JACKIE THOMAS SHOW, TOM and THE TOM SHOW
Tom Arnold is an actor, writer, and comedian with a career spanning over forty years, appearing in hundreds of hours of television and over one hundred and fifty films. He is best known for roles on Roseanne, True Lies, Nine Months, The Stupids, Carpool, McHale’s Navy, Big Bully, Austin Powers, and Soul Plane. He has hosted Saturday Night Live four times, has had three HBO specials, and starred in four sitcoms. Tom has won a Golden Globe, a Humanitas Award, and a Peabody Award, and has appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, Howard Stern, and was a co-host on “The Best Damn Sports Show Period.”
Currently, he appears in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new Netlflix series FUBAR and most recently finished directing his first feature film. Tom is a single dad with a 12-year-old son, 9-year-old daughter, and 4 ex-wives. He’s been stabbed, arrested naked, and charged for kidnapping a Peter Criss impersonator. His current stand-up comedy tour, aptly titled ‘My Crazy X-Wife’, currently spans across the country with fifty cities and counting.
